About The Practice

Dr Hakes & Partners is a GP partnership based in the Hillsborough area of Sheffield. Our service is run as an NHS body contracted to delivery primary health care services to patients within this area.

The Practice is run by a team of GP partners who are responsible for the Practice, and are supported by a large team consisting of other Salaried GPs, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, and Reception, Administration and Management teams.

The practice has two sites which are both available to all our registered patients. Most staff split their time between the two sites dependent on their rota and regular working hours.

Tramways Medical Centre (54A Holme Lane, S6 4JQ)

Tramways Medical Centre is based in the centre of Hillsborough on the site of the old tram shed. We share the site with Dr Bradley & Partners and Holme Lane (Wells) Pharmacy. The site has a small, dedictaed car park and has excellent access to both bus and tram routes.

Middlewood Medical Centre (621 Middlewood Road, S6 1TT)

Middlewood Medical Centre is based at the Fairlawns building on Middlewood Road, on the site of the old Middlewood Hospital. The building also hosts many other independent services such as the district nursing service, leg ulcer clinic, and the west locality extended access hubs. The site also has access to Middlewood (Wells) Pharmacy which is adjacent to the Practice. The site has a large, dedicated car park for visitor use and is a few minutes walk from the Middlewood tram stop.
