COVID-19 and Limiting Visitors to the Practice

Important Information for All Patients

Whilst coronavirus restrictions continue to be lifted slowly across the UK, the Practice would like to remind all patients about the importance of maintaining good social distancing measures to protect our most vulnerable patients.

The Practice is therefore still advising patients to call and speak to a member of staff prior to attending surgery for any reason. Do not attend the Practice unless asked to do so by a member of staff.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) and have a pre-arranged appointment please let us know. We kindly ask that if you have a face covering available then you wear this where possible when entering our buildings. Please understand that this precaution is taken in the best interests of other patients and staff until further information is received from NHS England.

If you have any queries on the Coronavirus situation, such as if you are unsure on the symptoms or what to do if you feel unwell, please visit the government website at

Thank you to all our patients in helping with this matter.

Reintroduction of Limited Online Booking

From 5th October 2020

At the beginning of the current coronavirus outbreak, all GP Practices in England were instructed to suspend their online booking service until further notice. Also, in order to introduce screening for COVID symptoms, we no were longer able to offer any pre-bookable appointments as the service switched to tackle the challenges of the virus. As a Practice that had been working to develop our online services, this has had a significant impact on the way we booked and provided GP appointments.

After careful consideration and much thought, the Practice will be reintroducing a limited online booking service, with appointments available from Monday 5th October 2020. These appointments will be telephone consultations ONLY which can be booked up to 1 week in advance. Patients should log-in to their online services account as normal to book their appointment.

The Practice will monitor this service over the following weeks and will look to expand where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Reminder: In order to protect our staff and other vulnerable patients, please do not attend surgery unless asked by a member of staff.

Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Review Call - 14th May 2019

The Practice had its review call with CQC on the above date and we are please to report that they confirmed that "there had been no significant changes to the quality of the service provided since the last inspection".

Inspection - 17th March 2016

As part of its ongoing comprehensive inspection programme of all GP practices in England, the CQC visited Dr Milner & Partners on the 17th March 2016. The inspectors rated the Practice in accordance with their 5 key lines of enquiry and 6 main patient demographic groups.

Below is a link to the summary page for the Practice, which includes a copy of the full report.
