Clinics & Services
In addition to GP appointments, all patients at the Practice also have access to the following clinics and services;
First Contact Physiotherapist
For any musculoskeletal problems, aches and plains, please book in directly with our reception team to see our new in-house physiotherapist. You will be fully assessed and any appropriate referrals or investigations can be made by the physio directly.
Social Prescriber / Health Link Worker
Our new Health Link Worker can help you with any problems relating to emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyle, physical activity, social groups, family and parenting, employment, wellfare and benefits. If you are unsure of the help you need then they are able to help navigate you to the correct services that will help you the most. You can book an appointment directly via our Reception team by contacting the Practice.
Health and Lifestyle Advice
Our practice nurses can help you maintain a healthy lifestyle, by offering you advice on diet and exercise, smoking and health, heart disease and cholesterol in the blood.
8 Week Baby Checks
We offer a number of services to help support you through your pregnancy and after the birth including, antenatal clinics with the doctor and midwife and frequent baby clinics held weekly at both sites. Your baby will require a special check with the GP once they are 8 weeks old prior to vaccination. Please book this appointment as soon as possible after birth to avoid any delay.
Immunising your child against common disease is a simple procedure. The vaccinations are given in a staged way over the first 5 years. All immunisations are given in baby clinics. Please ask reception for information on our upcoming clinics.
We recommend that every woman between the ages of 25 and 64 years has a routine 3 yearly test, unless otherwise indicated. Please ask for an appointment with a practice nurse when your smear is due.
Long Acting Contraception
The practice offers Nexplanon, a contraceptive implant. This is injected by a doctor in normal surgery. Please ask reception to book you a routine appointment.
Alternatively, the Practice also runs regular clinics for the copper coil. Please discuss this with your GP who will then refer you to be booked into one of our clinics. Please ask a member of the reception team for further information.
Advice and all recommended holiday vaccinations is available from the nurse. In order to ensure that you receive the full cover from your vaccinations, please ensure that you book a routine appointment at least 1 month prior to travel. Further information on travel vaccinations can be found here.
Doctors in the practice are registered to do minor surgery procedures. These are normally discussed with a doctor in surgery first, prior to the procedure being carried out.
The Well Baby Clinic
The baby clinic is there to provide a comprehensive service to help keep your child healthy and growing well. Part of the care provided for your family is given by our health visiting team.
